exit+sign

Many people err when they are buying lighting systems due to lack of understanding of the various important properties that they need. The first one is of course the ability to provide light in the quantity and frequency required.

Nowadays however, Induction Lighting has become more popular because in addition to providing the required light, they are also highly efficient. This means that one can save on power bills and also reduce the negative impact of lighting on the environment.

Third property that one should look at is the overall cost that he will incur when buying the fixtures, lamps and other accessories. Finally, the light must be made to blend in and complement the rest of the room in which it is placed. It is possible to get a shop that will work to supply a lighting system that has all the above qualities yet giving an affordable package.

    Pixel Shader Ver.: Required – 2.0 , You have – 4.0

I mean, everything is leaps and bounds above the recommended mark except the graphics card. But the features from the graphics card are well over the recommended mark. So if I can run a game like Two Worlds, why can’t I access openGL on CS4?
I looked at another random game and found that my video card alone has 1.6GB of Ram.

    Video RAM: Required – 64 MB , You have – 1.6 GB
On a side note… I have CS4 Master Collection, and I can load up photoshop in literally just a few seconds.

My old computer took a minute to load up CS3. So this laptop just is fire. It runs programs lickity-split.
So why can’t it run openGL features!?!?!

Please bear with me here. While I’m not a complete dunce when it comes to computers, I’m also not an expert. I’ll do my best to explain.

I was playing one of my games today when suddenly the screen sort of tinted with some sort of light-greenish grid. It froze off and on for a few minutes before I finally grew disgruntled enough to manually shut it down and restart it. At this point is where the problem started.

My desktop icons are now huge. There are blinking yellow lines everywhere…everything is distorted colorwise. When I went to adjust the display settings (that obviously being a good place to start and was also suggested via a pop-up message of some sort) it would always revert back to the lowest setting. Also, I’ve noticed that I no longer have a multiple monitor option in my display properties, nor is my NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS adapter mentioned anywhere in the Display Properties menu or whatnot.

Thing is, my sister has this very same laptop. I’ve been comparing both of our settings and I just don’t get what happened. I did not touch anything.

When I go into Contro Panel/System Properties/Device Manager, it shows my display adapter. I’ve followed some of Dell’s suggestions and everything seems fine. Even the diagnostics testing seems to think so. Can someone please help me? This really couldn’t have come at a worse time. LOL

Thanks and please do ask questions if I left something important out. I just really don’t know what to do. =|
Hey there, Jonas. I have Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002…Service Pack 3. >_> I’m not sure if that info is useless or helpful, sorry.

I’d been thinking that I need to do the whole uninstall/re-install thing but…gah! This is so frustrating, not knowing what went wrong.

You’ve really peaked my interest with the Geforce 8M series driver bit. I have ALWAYS just had NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS. I’m fairly sure I’ve been ‘updating it’ for every so often, but are you telling me that although my laptop is, say 3-4 years old maybe, that I could’ve been using a totally different driver? I’ll have to look into that.
    Hiya, Frank.

Well, that was what I was trying to explain. When I go into Display Properties>Advanced…my NVIDIA driver is no-where to be seen. Only the Default Monitor is available on the General tab, and then when I click on the Adapter tab everything is null. My NVIDIA driver just isn’t listed at all.

Both of you, thanks so much for taking time out of your day to help me figure this out. You’re fantastic. =)
Ah, Jonas…I get it, now. I downloaded that yesterday after this first started. Nothing changed, sadly.

I was able to figure out the other questions, And I became dumb when it came to these ones.

    1. Astronomers have formulated many models of the solar system over time. Ptolemys early geocentric model gave way to CopernicusÂ’ heliocentric model on which the modern solar system model is based. Which statement best describes why models of the early Ptolemy solar system were replaced by the Copernican model?

    A. Computers are better able to develop scientific models than humans are.
    B. A more precise age has been established for the formation of the solar system.
    C. More direct observations have enabled scientists to change solar system models.
    D. Scientists established that a different set of laws govern the motion of our solar system than govern the motion of other solar systems.

    2. Many scientists hypothesize that a cloud of interstellar dust, gas and ice collapsed to form a nebula from which our Sun and planets formed. What factor is responsible for causing most of this interstellar material to condense, forming our Sun?

    A. magnetic attraction
    B. ultraviolet radiation
    C. dissipation of gases
    D. gravitational attraction

    3. An astronomer investigating a star determines that the light wavelengths she observes are longer than those expected to be emitted by the star. What can be concluded about the motion of the star relative to Earths position?

    A. The star is moving closer to
    B. The star is moving away from
    C. The star is accelerating faster
    D. The star is accelerating at the

    4. When examining the red shift of galaxies outside our own, every galaxy appears to be moving away from the observer. This observation supports the Big Bang Theory because it indicates that

    A. our galaxy is not moving.
    B. the universe is expanding.
    C. most galaxies have the same mass.
    D. Earth is at the center of the universe.

    5. Which property of a star can be determined most directly from its color?

    A. mass
    B. diameter
    C. precise age
    D. surface temperature
