Schumacher Automotive Speed Charge Battery Maintainer and Charger
This is an exceptional Schumacher battery charger which is compatible with both 6-volts and 12-volts battery and has an output of 1.5amperes. It comes equipped with a charger which is automatic and microprocessor controlled. A special type of monitoring is used to keep the battery charged at all times.
These Schumacher battery chargers are not only apt for charging batteries which are small, they are also extremely useful for charging all types of batteries found on automobiles like motor cycles, classic cars, RVs, boats etc. This Schumacher Automotive Speed Charge Battery Maintainer and Charger also comes with indicator lights which not only indicate whether charging is going on or if the charge of the battery is full but also indicates is there is some problem with the battery making this a very intelligent battery charger.
I just bought a charger Schumacher speed charger
Settings:
Standard
AGM
Gel Cell
Voltage settings
2,6,10
My battery is a class 27 Autocraft Marine/RV Deep Cycle
Reserve Capacity 175mins @ 90AH
What do I set the charger to?? Right now its on Standard on 2 volts. I heard the slower the better but I am not sure. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks
Also this charge I think has a auto shut off. It says automatic on it.
Its the SC-1000a model
its a 12 or 14 volts battery… The guy told told me this charger would work fine.
oops.. its 2,6,10 AMPS, not volts.., My fault
The battery charger comes on, but wont charge. It wont power a 12v light, and it wont spark if you touch the terminals together quickly. I dont know what the deal is? It doesn’t work with the switches in any position (2, 12, or 75 amps, or in regular or deep cycle mode).
There is a dim green light that comes on when the charger is plugged in, as well as a bright yellow light. The dim green light turns bright green when connected to a battery or when the terminals are touched together. The charging indicator needle doesn’t move, ever.
Anyone got any ideas? I used a jumper wire to jump across the circuit breaker inside the battery charger and that did not change anything, so thats not it.
